Description

Collection of six access cards, badges, and passes from the personal collection of Apollo 15 astronaut Al Worden, which includes: a laminated bronze-tone ID card for NASA’s Johnson Space Center, which features Worden’s portrait, with the front marked, “Worden, Astronaut,” and the reverse issued as “Badge Number, A-037, Name Alfred M. Worden”; a light green Apollo 12 credential card, issued as No. 281; an orange certificate card from the U.S. Naval School of Underwater Swimmers, which certifies that “Alfred M. Worden is a qualified Scuba (Aqua-Lung) diver”; a laminated “Press” pass for a “Worden Homecoming” in Jackson, Michigan, on November 5, 1971 (less than a month after the Apollo 15 splashdown), with reverse bearing an Apollo 15 insignia; a plastic Johnson Space Center tenant card issued to Worden, with color portrait, bearing an expiration date of August 10, 2019; and a plastic Kennedy Space Center tenant card issued to Worden, with a color portrait, bearing an expiration date of April 30, 2020. In overall fine condition, with slight wear to edges of paper 'scuba' card.

From the collection of Apollo 15 CMP Al Worden, and accompanied by a letter of provenance from his daughter Alison (Worden) Penczak.
