Striking 6.75 x 10.75 full-length photo of the future King George V in uniform as Duke of York, signed in ink, "George, Singapore, 1901." Affixed to a same-size mount. In very good to fine condition, with light silvering to the darker areas of the image, and slight chipping along the edges. In 1901, George and his wife Mary of Teck went on a world tour of the British Empire, visiting Gibraltar, Malta, Port Said, Aden, Ceylon, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Mauritius, South Africa, Canada, and the Colony of Newfoundland.
