Limited edition display featuring a flown gold-plated Fliteline medallion carried during the Gemini 8 mission and deriving from the personal collection of astronaut Dave Scott. The medallion is mounted and matted with a plaque certifying its flown status, a Gemini 8 mission patch, and a color photo of Scott and Neil Armstrong walking in their space suits, signed in silver ink, “Dave Scott, Gemini VIII”; the display, numbered 2/10, is archivally framed to an overall size of 13.75 x 17. In fine condition.
Accompanied by a detailed letter of provenance signed by Scott, also numbered 2/10, in part: "I hereby certify that the golden Gemini VIII medallion included with this display was flown aboard the Gemini VIII mission on March 16, 1966…This Gemini VIII medallion has been in my personal collection since we returned from the mission.”
