Scarce graphite steering vane, 8.5″ x 5.5″ x 2″, used on a German A-5 test rocket, the forerunner to the A-4 / V-2 rocket, with front and underside engraved with matching part number: “00536.” This steering vane was recovered at the Peenemunde rocket test center in northern Germany on the Baltic coast. In fine condition, with expected signs of use.
