BREAKDOWN was made for the Alfred Hitchcock Presents show which was controlled by Shamley Productions, Inc. This company has now been taken over by M.C.A. Inc., whose headquarters is here at Universal Studios. I would think the best thing to do is to write to a Mr. Elliott Witt, who is the head of the legal department of M.C.A. I'm sorry I cannot be of more help." In fine condition.
'Breakdown,' the seventh episode of the first season of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, originally aired on November 13, 1955. The story revolves around Mr. Callew, played by actor Joseph Cotten, a callous and demanding businessman who is paralyzed when his car goes off the road. Unable to move or communicate with his first responders, who believe he is dead, Cotten becomes more and more terrified as he desperately tries to prove that he's still alive.
