Description

American lawyer and diplomat (1864-1928) who served as Counselor to the State Department at the outbreak of World War I, and then as United States Secretary of State under President Woodrow Wilson. Vintage matte-finish 4.75 x 6.5 portrait of Robert Lansing, affixed to its original 7 x 11 Clinedinst Studio mount, neatly signed on the mount in fountain pen. In fine condition, with overall silvering to the image.
