Desirable 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo of Cleveland by B. F. Powelson of Buffalo, signed in the upper left in black ink, "Grover Cleveland, Mch. 15, 1908." Cleveland began signing at the bottom of his jacket, which remains only slightly visible, and a newspaper article regarding his 71st birthday celebration is affixed to the reverse. In fine condition, with a superficial tear to the left border of the image (the mount unaffected), and the upper right corner of the mount trivially clipped. This is a terrific specimen with a sharp, youthful image and bold signature, penned just three days before his 71st birthday and three months before his death.
