Description

Visionary American architect, inventor, writer, and philosopher (1895-1983) perhaps best known for inventing the geodesic dome, one of the signal developments in modern design and engineering. Signed book: Critical Path. Later printing. NY: St. Martin's Press, 1981. Hardcover with dust jacket, 6.25 x 9.5, 471 pages. Signed and inscribed on the title page in blue felt tip, "To: Julian, Bucky, Buckminster Fuller, 8/21/1981." In very good to fine condition, with some nicks and creasing to dust jacket, foxing to textblock edges, ownership inscription to first free end page, and a small tear at the head of the jacket's spine. One of Fuller's best-known works, Critical Path offers a vision of the development of human civilization and economy.
