ALS in French, signed “I. Str.,” one page on a 5.5 x 3.5 postcard depicting gardens in Nice, postmarked October 10, 1925. Handwritten letter by the influential Russian-born composer, pianist, and conductor to Dutch musicologist S.A.M. Bottenheim. In full (translated): "I suppose you are with Mengelberg in New York and that’s why at the same time as I send you these lines I sent to my bank (Goldman Sachs) the order to wire you $25 for the Steinway plaque. Please send my best wishes to everybody and many good things to your wife and to Mrs. Sachs please." In fine condition, with two file holes to the top edge. Bottenheim was secretary to conductor Willem Mengelberg.
