Original embroidered patch for the Iridium-1 mission, conducted by SpaceX and launched from the Vandenberg AFB Space Launch Complex (SLC) 4 on January 14, 2017. The patch measures 4" in diameter and shows a Falcon 9 rocket deploying 10 NEXT telecommunications satellites into orbit. An orange star over California marks the launch site, a small four-leaf clover is present in the Pacific Ocean, and the border reads: "0062, Iridium-1, SpaceX." The number on the patch ("0062") indicates the seniority of the employee to whom it was issued: the lower the number, the more senior the employee. Low numbered patches are extremely hard to find. In very fine condition.
