Description

English biologist and paleontologist (1804-1892) best known for interpreting fossils and coining the term 'dinosaur.' ALS signed “Rd. Owen,” one page, 4 x 6.25, May 29, 1874. Letter to "Mr. White," concerning an illustrated publication of one his works, in part: "The reduction relates only to the Plates by Wesley; Proof of the other two plates…will shortly be forwarded to you, with the Proof-sheets of Pt. VIII." In fine condition.
