Description

TLS as president, one page, 6.75 x 7.5, White House letterhead, April 3, 1937. Letter to John C. Pearson, in full: "I am, indeed, grateful to you for sending me the letter from Major William Barber to General Jacob Morris. The original house occupied by Major Barber was about fifteen hundred feet from my Mother's house and his land is a part of our place. The original house was, as far as we can make out, within a few feet of the house now occupied by my sister-in-law. You can see, therefore, how very welcome this letter is and I am deeply grateful to you for it." Matted and framed with a color photo of FDR in later age to an overall size of 18.5 x 13.5. In fine condition.
