Flown commemorative cover from the Smithsonian Institution National Air and Space Museum with a cachet honoring the 25th Anniversary of Supersonic Flight and Captain Yeager's breaking of the sound barrier in his Bell X-1 on October 14, 1947, signed in black felt tip, "Charles E. Yeager, B/Gen USAF Ret." Reverse of cover marked with caption: "This cachet was flown at supersonic speed at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif." In fine condition.
