ALS signed “Wu Tingfang,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.75 x 7.75, April 24, 1902. Letter to F. M. Garland at the Shoreham Hotel, in full: "I thank you very much for your invitation to dine with you tomorrow evening, but I am sorry to find that I have already accepted an invitation to dinner elsewhere, so I am prevented from accepting yours." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in his own hand.
