Revolutionary War general and, later, treasurer of Connecticut (1743-1818). Partly-printed DS, signed “J. Huntington, Collector,” one page, 8 x 6.25, October 30, 1797. Document certifying a shipping manifest, issued at the port of New London, Connecticut. In part: "Daniel Tinker, Master of the Sloop Industry having sworn as the Law directs, to the within Manifest, consisting of five Articles of Entry, and delivered a Duplicate thereof, Permission is hereby granted to the said Sloop to proceed to the Port of New York." Attached by its left corner to the one-page manuscript manifest, 7.75 x 12.75, listing coffee, beef, salt, and rolls of leather among the items on board. In very good to fine condition, with a tear to the upper left corner of the signed page.
