Signed book: Why England Slept. Sixth printing. NY: Wilfred Funk, Inc., 1940. Hardcover with dust jacket, 5.75 x 8.5, 252 pages. Signed on the first free end page in black ink, "Jack Kennedy." Directly below is a fountain pen signature accomplished in a secretarial hand; its presence suggests that the original owner mailed the book to the White House for an additional autograph, albeit with non-presidential results. In fine condition, with faint edge toning to the signed page. Accompanied by an attractive red clamshell presentation case.
