ALS, one page, 8 x 10, personal letterhead, May 26, 1993. Letter describing some of his favorite authors, in part: "At school, to begin with, Kenneth Graham's Wind in the Willows, then the playwrights: Galsworthy, Shaw in toto, and such lesser players as Terence Rattigan; then back to the novel—all of Conan Doyle, Wilkie Collins, Dickens, Ryder Haggard, quite indiscriminately of supposed 'class,' then into Trollope, Jane Austen, and finally the great Russians. After that it was open season!" In fine condition.
