Two State of Texas land grant documents: a partly-printed vellum DS signed “A. C. Horton,” one page, 15 x 13.25, July 28, 1846, issuing to Eleazer Higgins 440 acres of land in Milam County, signed at the conclusion by Horton as governor and countersigned by Thomas William Ward as commissioner of the General Land Office, with original ribbon and seal still attached to lower left; and a partly-printed vellum DS signed “E. M. Pease,” one page, 15.25 x 12.25, November 12, 1855, issuing to Richard Danzey 440 acres of land in Liberty District, Polk County, signed at the conclusion by Elisha M. Pease as governor. In overall very good to fine condition, with staining to the Horton document, and light show-through from the certificate of record affixed to the back of the Pease document.
