Description

King of Great Britain and Ireland (1765-1837) from 1830 to 1837, he earned the sobriquet 'Sailor King' for his youthful service in the Royal Navy. Large ink signature, "William R," on an off-white 6.5 x 3.5 vellum slip clipped from a military commission. In very good condition, with overall creasing and soiling. Accompanied by an engraved portrait featuring a facsimile signature.
