Description

Norwegian physical chemist (1897-1981) who shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1969 for 'contributions to the development of the concept of conformation and its application in chemistry.' TLS in German, signed “O. Hassel,” one page, 8.75 x 11.5, personal letterhead, September 7, 1931. Letter to chemist Kazimierz Fajans, in part (translated): "Since I haven't had the pleasure of receiving reprints from your institute for a couple of years, which is probably a result of the fact that I'm no longer on your list, I would like to ask you to do me the favor of putting my name back on to bring the list, because it is very important to me not to lose contact with the Munich Institute." In fine condition, with paper loss to the lower right corner tip.
