Description

German physician (1776-1832) who became one of the chief proponents of phrenology. ALS signed “Spurzheim,” one page, 4.75 x 7.75, no date. Letter to a gentleman, in part: "Many thanks for the details you were so kind to send me. My course ended on Saturday, when you were prevented from attending the Lecture. On Tuesday next I begin here, at the same house in the Evening; if you find it convenient." Affixed to a slightly larger sheet and in fine condition.
