The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars album by David Bowie, signed on side 2 of the orange RCA label in black ballpoint, "Bowie." Includes the original album insert. In very good to fine condition, with light scuffing, edge wear, and partial edge separation to the album cover; the vinyl is in fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient: "I was a huge Bowie fan in high school and went to college in Madison, Wisconsin. David was playing there on October 11, 1974. I waited at the hotel and as he was leaving for the venue I asked him to sign my record. I had the album half out of the cover and he started to sign the cover itself. I said 'No, on the album.' He said 'Oh,' and then signed right on the center. For a moment David Bowie was taking direction from me! It has survived quite well and stands out beautifully on the orange color of the label." Also included is an original ticket stub for the referenced Bowie concert at the Dane County Memorial Coliseum in Madison, Wisconsin, on October 11, 1974.
