Desirable participation medal issued for the 2012 London Summer Olympics. Cupronickel, 38 mm, 42 gm, designed by Gordon Summers. The front features the London 2012 logo; the reverse bears the Olympic rings with engraved text along the top, “The Games of the XXX Olympiad London 2012.” Complete with its black presentation booklet and sealed in its original packaging, which bears some marks. Medals from recent Olympic games remain scarce and highly collectable.
