Rare five-book set pertaining to the Congressional investigation of the Apollo 1 disaster, entitled “Investigation Into Apollo 204 Accident: Hearings Before the Subcommittee on NASA Oversight of the Committee on Science and Astronautics, U.S. House of Representatives, Ninetieth Congress, First Session.” Published by the Government Printing Office in 1967, the set consists of five books and three volumes, with the second volume containing three parts that concern “The formal accident investigation report provided in support of testimony by the chairman and members of the Apollo 204 review board.” The first volume, 605 pages, is dated to April 10, 11, 12, 17, 21, and May 10, 1967; the second volume, 2500 total pages, is dated to April 10, 1967; and the third volume, 235 pages, is dated to May 10, 1967. In overall fine condition, with light creasing to the spines; and a fold and smudge to covers of parts 1 and 3 from Vol. 2. A rarely seen set of reports from a tragic, yet formative, time in America's space program; these volumes are in exceptional shape given their 50-year age.
