Description

DS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Grauman's Egyptian Theatre letterhead, June 20, 1925. Memorandum of agreement between Sid Grauman and Raquel Nieto, signed by both. In part: "It is understood and agreed that Miss Raquel Nieto is to play an engagement of two weeks at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre, to open starting Friday, June 26th, 1925, at a salary of $150.00 per week, net." In very good to fine condition, with light creasing and intersecting folds. Nieto, a popular coloratura soprano, performed the prologue for Charlie Chaplin's comedy-drama The Gold Rush.
