Yamaha TT-300U Natural Sound Stereo turntable from Prince’s Paisley Park Studios, 17 x 4.5 x 14, with cueing control, play/cut switch, anti-skate knob, and speed selector, with serial number, “CF0108A053,” and part number, “SGTB169-1.” Includes the original stylus. In fine condition, with expected signs of use; working condition untested. Accompanied by a lengthy letter of provenance from former Paisley Park employee Tom Underwood, which reads, in part: “In 2012 I was offered a part-time position [at Paisley Park] and continued working there until Prince passed away in 2016…There were nights leaving late that my car would be the last one left in the parking lot and the purple lights above Paisley Park would be on with Prince in the studio coming up with new material. People say that Prince was one of the hardest working people in show business and I believe it because he was always doing something. On April 21st of 2016 I did not only lose my music mentor and boss; I lost a friend. Prince was a smart, funny, and down to Earth guy…In my time working at Paisley Park, I was allowed to keep an old turntable that Prince had inside a room next to the vault."
