In Robert Hilburn’s 2018 biography ‘Paul Simon, The Life,’ he explains that in 1965, ‘Simon was on the road fairly constantly in England, playing more than sixty dates in four months. In some ways, he was a student again. Just as he had learned the skills of record making during the demo days and had sharpened his intellect at Queens College, he was learning about performing and adjusting to the life of a professional musician.'
