Forgery of a Civil War-dated ANS signed "A. Lincoln," 6.5 x 4, dated at Washington, D.C., on August 2, 1863, in full: "Paymaster Whitney, Please see Capt. Stewart today." In very good condition, with intersecting folds, creasing, staining, and two tears to the bottom edge.
