Description

Vintage circa 1956 ‘Souvenir Picture Album’ program from an Elvis Presley concert, eight pages, 8.5 x 9.75, desirably signed on the back cover in black ballpoint. In fine condition, with staple-related stains along the spine edge. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: “The date was August 5, 1956 and the place was Fort Homer W. Hesterly Armory in Tampa, Florida. Elvis Presley was the main event and my parents had given me the tickets for my 16th birthday. I was able to take two of my closest friends with me. It was his first concert that had a program that featured him on the cover…After the concert, he was signing autographs and to keep him safe, he went into the guard shack at the armory and we stood in a very long line just to be able to get his autograph.”
