Description

Partly-printed DS, signed “George P. R.,” one page, 9.5 x 14.75, May 29, 1816. Warrant for the payment of 65th Regiment of Foot, issued unto General Edmund Stevens, the sum of "Twenty two Thousand Nine Hundred and one Pounds, thirteen Shillings, and ten Pence, farthing, being the Amount of the Charges allowed in the Accompts of the said Regiment, from the 25th December 1798, to the 24th December 1799." Signed in the upper left by the future king and countersigned below by Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston, as secretary of war. In fine condition.
