Uncommon letterhead from the "New York Institution for the Instruction of the Deaf and Dumb"

ALS, one page both sides, 5.25 x 7.5, New York Institution for the Instruction of the Deaf and Dumb letterhead, August 24, 1890. Letter to Madame Rinkowski, in part: "I find that the Convention holds a meeting this evening—so that it is my duty to remain here. I am very sorry to miss the opportunity of meeting you and Capt. Rinkowski again before you leave for distant China—and you may be sure that my best wishes go with you both wherever you are. I trust that some day or other—Washington may attract you back again to our part of the world—or at least—that we may have the pleasure of meeting. The world is small—so I live in hopes." In very good to fine condition, with three stains, and a strip of clear tape, along the left edge.
