Uncommon 1:25,000 scale NASA topographical map entitled “Lunar Roving Vehicle Traverse Navigation Map of Apennine-Hadley Site,” dated July 1971, 19.5 x 21, which shows the nominal LM landing site and the intended course of navigation for the Lunar Rover during its inaugural journey across the moon. The map features traverse symbols that denote specified lunar rover and walking station points, area and sample stops, and the locations of the mission’s three EVAs. The topography was prepared by the Mapping Science Laboratory at Houston’s Manned Spacecraft Center, and the preplanned traverses were prepared by NASA’s Science Working Panel, Traverse Planning Subgroup. Rolled and in very good to fine condition, with overall creasing.
