Ford"; and a TLS as president, one page, 6.75 x 8.75, July 28, 1976, to Reverend Leon H. Sullivan, in full: "I have waited until this booklet returned from the printers to express my personal thanks for your participation in the Bicentennial program at Independence Hall. It was certainly good being with you on that historic occasion. I hope the booklet will serve as a token of my appreciation and a souvenir of this momentous year and of your significant contribution." In very fine condition.
Leon Howard Sullivan was a Baptist minister, a civil rights leader and social activist focusing on the creation of job training opportunities for African Americans, a longtime General Motors Board Member, and an anti-Apartheid activist.
