Two letters from Batman co-creator Bob Kane, an ALS and a TLS, both addressed to his agent Barbara Blumenthal on Bob Kane Productions, Ltd. letterhead. The TLS, signed “Bob Kane,” one page, November 14, 1978, in part: “This will acknowledge that you have a two year agreement with me, commencing November 1978 to November 1980, to be my exclusive agent in specifically and only the tax shelter field…It is also understood that you shall have the right to be my non-exclusive agent in attaining a sale for me of my original oil paintings, watercolors or sketches in both my Batman and non-Batman art”; and an ALS signed “Robert,” one page, both sides, no date, in part: “Enclosed find two sets of transparencies and related publicity for each individual set in two separate envelopes. 1. One envelope contains the Batman material… 2. The second envelope contains my non-Batman stylistic paintings and related publicity…which are quite unique in themselves and remember when selling this, to which I own the copyright completely with no problems—the publicity and brochure can and will say ‘Paintings by Bob Kane—Creator of Batman.’” In overall fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the 1978 letter.
