Description

Group of three TLSs from noted Israeli leaders—Teddy Kollek, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Shimon Peres—each one page, 8.5 x 11 and 8.25 x 11.75, each addressed to New York Senator Daniel P. Moynihan. The Kollek letter, personal letterhead, December 10, 1995, in part: "I am full of admiration for your enduring and consistent struggle to see this law passed through Congress. Without your support throughout these twenty years, I do not believe this would have become a reality…It seems that our region and the United States are finally ready to accept Jerusalem as our capital and it is surely your continuous support that has helped us achieve this important goal"; the Netanyahu letter, United Nations letterhead, November 15, 1985, forwarding galleys for an article to be included in a collection entitled 'Terrorism: How the West Can Win,' in part: "The idea is to turn all the pieces from speeches into essays, so as to make the book stand the test of time"; and the Peres letter, Prime Minister letterhead, June 9, 1996, shortly after losing in the general elections, in part: "Over the past four years, much has been accomplished. Israel is stronger than it has ever been and the prospects for peace are stronger than ever before." In overall fine condition.
