Description

DS, one page, 7.75 x 10, May 8, 1919. Official Navy Department document granting Cyril P. Connolly a temporary appointment as "An Ensign in the United States Navy." Neatly signed at the conclusion by Acting Secretary of the Navy Franklin D. Roosevelt, and countersigned by a registrar. Double-matted and framed with a portrait to an overall size of 19.5 x 15.5. In very good to fine condition, with light soiling and creasing, and two file holes at the top.
