My Fight for Irish Freedom, presented to Senator Ted Kennedy

Volunteer in the Irish Republican Army during the Irish War of Independence and the Irish Civil War (1894-1969) who took part in the 1919 Soloheadbeg Ambush, the first event of the War of Independence. Signed book: My Fight for Irish Freedom. First edition. Dublin: Talbot Press, 1924. Hardcover, 5 x 7.25, 258 pages. Signed and inscribed vertically on a free end page in blue ballpoint, "Inscribed to my dear friend Tom English, Dan Breen, 14th August 1959." Tom English later presented the book to Senator Ted Kennedy, writing on the facing page, "To Senator Ted Kennedy, from Tom English." In very good to fine condition, with light soiling to the Breen-signed page, light foxing to English's presentation inscription, edgewear, rubbing, and cracked hinges.
