Description

Lawyer, author, and editor (1844-1915). He served as an officer in the 20th Massachusetts, and spent time in Libby Prison. He later became the editor of the American Law Review with Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. Uncommon 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite photo of Sedgwick in civilian clothes by Whipple of Boston, signed in the lower border in black ink, "Arthur G. Sedgwick '64." In fine condition, with a small area of surface touch-up to the lower left corner of the image.
