TLS, signed "Melvin," two pages, 7.25 x 10.75, July 4, 1938. Romantic letter to his wife Rosanne, in part: "Now that you plan to be here by next Sunday I can hardly wait for that time to come. No one could ever understand how I want to see you and no one could ever understand how I have missed you and how I have longed for you during these past three months. They have seemed like eons and eons. I shall meet you in Charleston next Sunday at the Fort Sumter Hotel. I shall be there in plenty of time so I will be there before you get there. That is, unless you think of a better place to meet….I keep wishing that it was this time next week. You would be home then and I could be with you. There is nothing that I want to do more than that. That is all I ever want to do. I love you more than anything in all the world. You will always be everything to me." In very good to fine condition, with the top of the second page trimmed off. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
