DS, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 8.5 x 14, October 16, 1919. American League player's contract in which Bernard Geiser agrees to render "his best services as a ball player" to the New York Yankees during the 1920 season for a total of $300 per month. Signed at the conclusion in ink by Yankees President Jacob Ruppert and by Bernard E. Geiser. Also approved on the docketing panel in ink by American League President Ban Johnson. In fine condition, with short splits to ends of the horizontal folds. A curious contract, as we can find no record of Geiser making any appearance in professional baseball. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
