Description

Norwegian explorer, scientist, diplomat, humanitarian, and Nobel laureate (1861-1930) who led the first crossing of the Greenland interior in 1888. TLS in German, two pages, 8.75 x 11.25, personal letterhead, November 25, 1927. Letter to the "High School for Girls in Luithlen," in full (translated): "My heartfelt thanks for your kind letter of October 24th, and I send you my warmest greetings and best wishes." In very good to fine condition, with light creasing and faint staining. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
