African-American poet (1872-1906), known for his colorful use of language and dialect, who died of tuberculosis at the age of 33. Bold vintage ink signature, "Paul Laurence Dunbar,” on an off-white 4.5 x 2.5 slip. In fine condition. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
