Czar of Russia (born 1796) who reigned from 1825 until his death in 1855. Czar Nicholas I grants awards to "Imperial Theatre Inspector of Troop Alexander Chevanoveski and Peter Gelmerson, Chief of Procurement for Theatre." Boldly signed at the conclusion by Nicholas I. In fine condition, with trimmed edges. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
