German composer (1838-1920) who wrote over 200 works, including staples of the violin repertoire. ALS in German, signed “M. Bruch,” penned on the reverse of a 5.5 x 3.5 Reichspost postcard, May 12, 1894. Written from Friedenau, a letter to Dr. Joachim, presumably the Hungarian violinist and composer Joseph Joachim, in full (translated): "The address of Mrs. Leo is: Derfflinger Street 29 III. If you really want to send her congratulations on the 14 May (second day of Pentecost) for her 70th birthday, you will give much pleasure to your oldest and most faithful admirer." In fine condition. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
