World War II-dated TLS signed “Harry,” one page, 8 x 10.5, United States Senate letterhead, April 18, 1944. Letter to Harvey Burrus, in full: "I am enclosing a copy of a letter which has been received from the Federal Works Agency regarding the application of School District #36, Jackson County, Missouri. The enclosure is self-explanatory, and I sincerely hope that everything works out all right. With kindest regards and best wishes." Truman adds a handwritten postscript: "Had a fine letter from Rufus. He's doing all right." In fine condition, with staple holes to the upper left corner. Accompanied by a copy of a letter addressed to Truman regarding an "Addition to School Building—District 36," dated April 14, 1944.
