ALS, one page, 4.5 x 7.25, August 1, 1847. Letter to "the Postmaster at Ramsgate," written from Broadstairs, Kent. In part: "As I have returned hither, I shall feel obliged if you will have the goodness to forward all letters addressed to me hereā¦instead of directing and posting them to London as you have been kind enough to do for some ten days past." In fine condition. Dickens summered in the coastal town of Broadstairs, and it was there that he wrote David Copperfield.
