Description

(Walt Disney Studios, 1983) Original hand-inked four panel comic strip featuring Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck, signed in the lower right in black felt tip by Carl Barks. The comic strip, 21 x 6, accomplished in black ink and colored pencil, follows a conversation between the two ducks who are riding in the back of Scrooge’s limo. When Donald asks how his uncle managed to get his $4000 limo for such a cheap price, Scrooge replies: “It’s a no-name brand of limousine!” The first panel bears an affixed Kings Feature Syndicate label, and the second panel bears an affixed Walt Disney Productions copyright label dated 1983. The comic strip is displayed with a giclee-printed mat that reads: “Inspired by the Father of Scrooge McDuck, Mr. Carl Barks.” Mounted and framed to an overall size of 30.5 x 15.75. In fine condition, with tape strips to left and right edges. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Walt Disney Art Classics.
