Group lot of material related to Prince's 1984 hit movie Purple Rain—a spiral-bound first draft of the Purple Rain screenplay (computer version), dated August 29, 1983, Prod. No. 8301, 107 pages with additional 10-page “Second Ending, ‘Q’ Pages—’Q’ Scenes, 10/14/83”; a glossy 6.75 x 4.75 photo of Prince seated and clapping at a piano during a live performance (framed); two copies of the Prince fanzine Uptown, issues No. 5 and 7, July 1, 1992 and January 1, 1993; and a folder containing material related to the article ‘Prince’s Movie: Scenes of a Hometown Hero?,’ written by musician and music critic Tony Glover, who interviewed several crew members involved with the making of the Purple Rain movie. The folder contains two copies of the article, six transcripts of interviews, correspondence for promotion of the article, a copy of Glover’s review for the Prince album 1999, a copy of a check from the Purple Rain Payroll Account issued to Tony Glover.
