TLS signed “Lyndon,” one page, 6 x 7, United States Senate letterhead, June 15, 1954. Letter to Dwight Allison, managing editor of the San Antonio Light newspaper, in full: "Here is the material on my Senate career as drawn up by a staff employe[e]. I am also enclosing a picture and a standard biography. Best personal regards and you know how much I appreciate your friendship. I only hope that some day I can repay it." Johnson adds a handwritten postscript: "Hope you can use this as soon as possible. We have only 40 days left." In very good to fine condition, with trimmed edges and some creasing.
