Description

TLS, 8.25 x 10.25, personal letterhead, January 13, 1934. Letter to F. H. Hooper of Encyclopedia Brittanica, in full: "I enclose the proof with some annotations.

(1) The title should be 'Broadcasting Symphonies and Operas.'
(2) Change the date to 1913 in the sub-title.
(3) The ratios are printed badly. They should be 2:1. 4:1 with colon mid-way between the two figures.
(4) Please add the words 'among others' where I have shown it.
(5) I should very much like the photographs to be where I have indicated them for ease of reading. I always notice when illustrations come in another place from the reading that there is a great loss of concentration to the reader.
(6) Near the end I use the word 'spatial.' This may not be in the dictionary at present but we have need of it in sound and it means something a little different from merely 'space.'
(7) Under the first illustration two lines need reversing to make them correct.

Can you tell me when this article will appear publicly?" In very good condition, with creasing, toning, and a few short edge tears.
